A Phoenix pastor, Arturo Laguna, has been indicted on multiple counts of voyeurism after a hidden camera was discovered in the bathroom of his church. Laguna, who leads the Casa de Adoracion church, was taken into custody in November.

The camera was reportedly found by a woman changing her baby's diaper, prompting a police investigation. Subsequent examination of the camera's memory card revealed four videos of women in the bathroom, according to a police report obtained by Fox 10 Phoenix.

Laguna allegedly installed the camera in October and admitted to doing so. He is scheduled to appear in court on January 8th.

The charges against Laguna stem from the alleged violation of privacy through the surreptitious recording of women using the bathroom, a felony offense in Arizona. Penalties for this offense can include imprisonment.

Further investigation by law enforcement is ongoing. The investigation involves a thorough review of the evidence gathered, including the video footage seized from the camera.

Laguna, a faith leader with approximately 100 followers, primarily serving the immigrant community, gave an interview to the Associated Press regarding the Latino vote in Arizona in October, preceding the current indictment.
