A small aircraft crashed into a commercial warehouse in Fullerton, California, on Thursday, resulting in two fatalities and 18 injuries. The incident, which occurred near the Fullerton Municipal Airport, prompted the evacuation of over 100 individuals from the affected building.
The single-engine Van’s RV-10 aircraft reportedly crashed through the roof of a furniture manufacturing facility, triggering a fire. Emergency services responded promptly to the scene, which was reported at 2:09 PM.
Ten of the injured were transported to local hospitals for treatment, while eight others received on-site care. Firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze resulting from the crash by 3:25 PM.
The impacted building is identified as belonging to Michael Nicholas Designs, a furniture upholstery manufacturer. The crash follows a similar incident in November where a plane crashed into a tree near the same airport during an emergency landing.
This is a developing story, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available. Investigations are currently underway by authorities including the Federal Aviation Administration to determine the cause of the crash.
