University of Georgia quarterback Carson Beck has announced his decision to enter the 2025 NFL Draft. The 23-year-old made the announcement on Saturday via Instagram, expressing gratitude to his coaches, teammates, and the Georgia fanbase.

Beck, who recently underwent surgery to repair a UCL injury in his right elbow, will remain with the Bulldogs to support the team as they head into the College Football Playoff quarterfinals. He sustained the injury during the SEC Championship game against Texas earlier this month.

In a heartfelt message, Beck reflected on his five years at the University of Georgia. He expressed appreciation for the lessons learned, the bonds formed, and the support he received. Beck specifically thanked Coach Smart and other coaches for their guidance. He emphasized his pride in his teammates and the unforgettable journey they shared.

Despite having one year of eligibility remaining due to the 2020 COVID-19 season, Beck has decided to pursue his professional football career. During his time as a starter for Georgia, he amassed 7,426 career passing yards and 52 touchdowns. This season alone, he threw for 3,485 yards with 28 touchdowns. He led the Bulldogs to a 24-3 record over the past two seasons.

Although not projected as a first-round pick in recent mock drafts, Beck's draft stock could potentially improve if he can demonstrate his throwing ability before the NFL Draft in April. Gunner Stockton is set to take over as starting quarterback for Georgia in the upcoming game against Notre Dame.
