A Rolex watch, engraved and identified as belonging to actor Keanu Reeves, has been recovered in Chile, months after it was stolen in Los Angeles. The discovery came as a result of an investigation into a series of violent robberies in Santiago, the Chilean capital.
Following a series of arrests related to the robberies, Chilean authorities seized a collection of jewelry, valuable watches, and other stolen items. Among these items, according to the Investigations Police of Chile, was a watch identified as belonging to a "famous film actor," who was a robbery victim in Los Angeles in December 2023.
Photographs released by the agency prominently display the watch, featuring a distinctive engraving that reads "THE JOHN WICK FIVE," along with "KEANU THANK YOU JW4 2021." This engraving confirms the watch's connection to the "John Wick" star.
A police official has verified, in an interview with Chilean broadcaster TVN, that the Rolex belongs to Reeves. Chilean authorities are now working with the Los Angeles Police Department to determine the most appropriate method for returning the valuable item to its owner.
The Los Angeles Police Department has acknowledged the ongoing burglary investigation but offered no further details. They did confirm that the initial theft occurred at Reeves’s Los Angeles residence in late 2023, where, according to TMZ, a firearm was also taken.
Representatives for Keanu Reeves have yet to comment on the recovery. The actor, renowned for his roles in action films like "Speed," "The Matrix" series, and "John Wick" franchise, has been a prominent figure in Hollywood for several decades.
