A single winning ticket has claimed the massive $1.22 billion Mega Millions jackpot, marking the end of a multi-week run without a grand prize winner. The ticket, matching all six numbers, was sold in California, lottery officials confirmed on Saturday.

The winning numbers drawn on Friday night were 3, 7, 37, 49, and 55, with a Mega Ball of 6. The jackpot, estimated at $1.22 billion, had a cash option of $549.7 million.

While the grand prize went to California, Ohio also saw some significant wins. Four individuals in the state matched four of the five numbers plus the Mega Ball, each taking home $10,000. Furthermore, one of these winners boosted their payout to $30,000 by using the Megaplier option.

Following this monumental draw, the Mega Millions jackpot resets to an estimated $20 million for the next drawing on Tuesday. Lottery enthusiasts will again have the chance to try their luck at the new, albeit smaller, prize.
