A 24-year-old man, Ellis Dismore, from Middlesbrough, has been sentenced to 43 years in prison for attempted murder and multiple offenses against young girls. Crucially, he also sent disturbing voice notes to the victim's family via Snapchat prior to the attack.
Dismore targeted a 15-year-old girl, grooming her before attempting to murder her by repeatedly stabbing her on her way home from school. The attack was interrupted by the intervention of members of the public.
The convicted predator sent threatening messages to the victim's family on Snapchat in June 2023. These messages preceded his violent attack.
