The 82nd annual Golden Globe Awards are back, kicking off awards season with a glamorous celebration of film and television. Hosted by comedian Nikki Glaser, the ceremony takes place at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on Sunday.
CBS will air the ceremony live nationwide, beginning at 8 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. PT. The network will pre-empt its "60 Minutes" segment to accommodate the broadcast, returning January 12th. Viewers can access CBS through traditional cable, satellite, or antenna.
Paramount+ subscribers with the Showtime add-on will be able to stream the ceremony live. Other Paramount+ users can view the show the following day. Alternatively, live TV streaming services offering CBS, such as Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, or FuboTV, provide an additional viewing option.
A comprehensive pre-show, co-hosted by Variety's Marc Malkin and Entertainment Tonight's Rachel Smith, will air on various platforms starting at 6:30 p.m. ET, delivering red-carpet coverage on Variety and Entertainment Tonight websites and Paramount+. E! will also be on hand, showcasing the fashion spectacle on their channel from 6 p.m. ET.
The Associated Press will provide a livestream of winners' interviews with press backstage, commencing at 8:15 p.m. ET.
"Emilia Perez," a Mexican drug lord’s gender-affirming journey musical, leads the nominations for best picture (musical or comedy). Other prominent nominees in the best picture category include "Wicked" and "Anora," alongside acting nominations for stars Zoe Saldana, Karla Sofía Gascón, and Selena Gomez. "The Brutalist" and "A Complete Unknown" are also nominated for best picture (drama) with their leading stars, Adrien Brody and Timothée Chalamet, in contention for best actor.
"The Bear" is the top-nominated TV series with five nominations, followed closely by "Shogun" with four. Viola Davis and Ted Danson are recognized with lifetime achievement awards.
